HANOVER — Dartmouth College is holding two public forums this summer to discuss the three sites it is considering for a proposed biomass facility to heat its campus.
The sites, announced in May, are the hill behind the Dewey parking lot off Route 10 just north of campus; land by the Hanover Country Club’s maintenance facility garage at the south end of the golf course, also along Route 10; and the former home of Trumbull-Nelson Construction Co. on Route 120 near the Lebanon line.
One forum will be held at 6 p.m. next Wednesday, July 31, while the other will be held at 6 p.m. on Aug. 13. The venue for both is Filene Auditorium in Moore Hall, Dartmouth said on its website.
The college plans to pick a preferred site for the project — which is to be built and financed by a private vendor competing in a selection process — by early fall. Feedback from the public is also being solicited on the project website.
