The Sullivan County Commissioners, in partnership with the Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission, are seeking input on trail usage. Noting that “recreational trails are a key resource for the region,” they are working on a plan to upgrade and expand the existing trails in the Sugar River region of the county.

“We want to better understand the role that trails play in quality of life, economic vitality, and regional identity,” the project’s website reads, so that the group can “improve the quality and connectivity of trails and boost the region’s outdoor recreation economy.”

The group is seeking the input of trail users of all kinds — from hikers and trailrunners to snowmobilers and off-highway recreational vehicle users, “or anything else,” the website says.

The first in a series of public forums will be held via Zoom on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
