Thetford — A portion of Route 132 will be closed for a week, starting on Monday, as the town of Thetford repairs washouts from heavy rainstorms in early July.

Route 132 will be closed from Monday to Sunday, Dec. 17, between Cream Street and Stowell Road, according to an email on the Thetford Listserv from Mary Ellen Parkman, the Thetford zoning administrator and DPW project manager.

Message boards currently warn motorists of the pending closure, and signs for detours also will be in place, her email said.

Norwich officials, meanwhile, warned residents there to “expect heavier-than-usual traffic on New Boston (Road) as drivers bypass the closed portion of Route 132.”
