POMFRET — At the polls on Tuesday, voters elected Emily Grube to a two-year seat on the Selectboard in a contested race.

Grube earned 164 votes to Frank E. Perron Jr.’s 61.

In an uncontested race, voters also elected John R. Peters Jr. to a three-year Selectboard term.

Voters approved a budget of $1.93 million, including $540,000 for the general fund and $1.39 million for highways, of which $1.36 million will be raised by taxes.

They also supported an article asking whether voters would like to re-appropriate $88,000 of the general fund balance to reduce taxes.
