Police seek information on man missing from Bradford, Vt., rehab facility

BRADFORD, Vt. — Vermont State Police are seeking information about a man they said walked away from a rehabilitation facility in Bradford on Tuesday and hasn’t been seen since.

According to police, Jeffrey A. Champagne, 44, left the facility about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.

It was not known which direction he may have headed. Police said Champagne is homeless but has ties to Franklin County.

Champagne is described by police as a white male, 5-foot-8 and 140 pounds with a goatee.

He did not have a phone when he left, authorities said.
