LEBANON — The temporary closure of the I-89 Exit 19 northbound off-ramp is now scheduled to start the night of Monday, Sept. 26, to allow for the final phase of rehabilitation of the I-89 northbound bridge over the Mascoma River, according to a news release from the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

This is a delay of a week from the start date DOT announced last week

Once the work begins, it is expected to last eight to 10 weeks. The work schedule is weather dependent and the start date could be delayed a week due to issues related to construction crews and materials, according to Monday’s news release.

When the closure is in effect, a detour utilizing message boards and temporary construction signs will direct motorists to use I-89 northbound Exit 20 to reverse directions to I-89 southbound. From there, they will be able to use the Exit 19 southbound off-ramp to get to Mechanic Street.
