Martha Staskus has been named vice president of development at solar power system installer Norwich Solar Technologies, where she will be responsible for leading project site development and supporting operations for clients.

Staskus, of Waterbury, previously was vice president at Waterbury Center-based VERA Renewables, where she oversaw development and permitting of solar and wind power projects around the state.

Also joining Norwich Solar Technologies is Jonathan Lynch in the newly created position of vice president of research and development.

Prior to joining Norwich Solar, Lynch, of St. Johnsbury, was chief technology officer at wind turbine company Northern Power Systems in Barre.

Both Staskus and Lynch will be based at Norwich Solar Technologies’ White River Junction office.

Dillan Pierce, a commercial lines account executive at Kinney Pike Insurance in White River Junction, has been awarded the Accredited Adviser in Insurance designation and diploma by The Institutes Risk and Insurance Knowledge Group — formerly the Insurance Institute of America — after completing a 30-week course and examination on insurance product knowledge and customer service skills.

Pierce, a White River Junction resident and graduate of Keene State College, has been with Kinney Pike since 2017.

NeighborWorks America, an organization that helps housing professionals advance their leadership skills, has selected Twin Pine Housing Executive Director Andrew Winter for a special executive education program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Winter, one of 45 housing leaders selected, will participate in the 18-month program that includes academic classes, one-on-one coaching and peer learning sessions at Harvard and other meeting locations across the country.

Participants in the NeighborWorks America program will also identify and define a specific challenge critical to their organizations’ success and then spend the program addressing that challenge, Twin Pines said in a news release.
