Overdose prevention training set for Canaan

CANAAN — Training on opioid overdose prevention and the use of overdose-reversal drug naloxone, also known by the brand name of Narcan, will be offered on Monday evening.

Staff from Lebanon’s HIV/HCV Resource Center will provide the training, which is free of charge and open to residents of all communities.

Attendees will receive Narcan, fentanyl and xylazine test strips, Deterra drug disposal bags, and other resources.

The training will take place on Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Canaan’s Emergency Operation Center, located at 52 Route 118 in Canaan.
