ORANGE — During a Tuesday evening floor meeting, voters approved all articles except for a petitioned article that would have designated the second floor of the Orange Town House as a mixed-use room to be shared by official town committees, boards and commissions subject to restrictions in the types of displays and items stored in the room, and a schedule maintained by the Selectboard secretary.

The article was not recommended by the Selectboard.

Voters approved a municipal budget of $414,000, as well as $21,000 for a town-wide revaluation.

They also supported discontinuing the entirety of the Class V road known as Morrill Way, as well as a petitioned article to grant property tax exemptions of up to $25,000 for property equipped with solar energy systems intended for use at the immediate site.

In ballot voting on Tuesday, Samara Pitre was elected to a three-year term on the Selectboard as a write-in.
