Casey Kimball, of Waterbury, far left, talks with Vermont State Police Trooper Brian Jordan at Duprey's Towing in Sharon, Vt., on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, where Kimball's car and the car that rear-ended him were brought after a crash on Interstate 89. Police closed both northbound lanes of the highway between Sharon and Bethel for about two hours after Kimball said he stopped fast to avoid a ladder in the road and was hit by the car behind him. He added that while he was exchanging information with the other driver, identified in a state police news release as Jillian Holland, of Burlington, they turned to see Holland’s car, shown at back right, on fire. No one was injured in the crash and Vermont State Police are investigating the cause. (Valley News - James M. Patterson) Copyright Valley News. May not be reprinted or used online without permission.
