Republican retains Newbury-area seat in Vermont House

NEWBURY, Vt. — In a rematch from 2020, Republican Joe Parsons beat out Democrat Kelsey Root-Winchester for a seat in the Vermont House of Representatives. 

Parsons earned 1,016 votes to Root-Winchester’s 902. The Newbury residents were vying to represent the district including their own town, as well as Groton and Topsham, which comprise the Orange-Caledonia District.
