Newbury, Vt., considers new fire station proposal

NEWBURY, Vt. — Residents will have a chance to weigh in on a proposal for a new fire station in Newbury Village during a meeting Wednesday night.

The Selectboard meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at the Newbury Village Fire Station, at 60 Chapel St.

Members of the Fire Department Steering Committee, will discuss “the alternatives for the fire station location, the pros and cons associated with each, and the estimated/anticipated costs,” that they have researched in the last year, according to an announcement posted to the town website. 

After the presentation, members of the public will have an opportunity to speak before the Selectboard votes on the proposal.
