CLAREMONT — The New Hampshire Charitable Trusts Unit is scheduled to hold a public hearing on the proposed affiliation between Dartmouth Health and Valley Regional at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 18 in Claremont.

The Lebanon-based health system, the Claremont community access hospital and Windsor’s Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, also a member of the DH system, first announced last August that they had signed a letter of intent to affiliate. In September, they held a public listening session on the subject.

Next month’s hearing will take place at the Claremont Savings Bank Community Center, 152 South Street. Remote attendance also will be available. Information about the transaction and about how to participate in the public hearing remotely will be online at: doj.nh.gov/charitable-trusts/valley-regional-dartmouth-health.htm.

Public comments on the affiliation also can be submitted via email and mail through May 31. Written comments may be submitted by email to: charitabletrustsunit@doj.nh.gov, or by mail to: Director of Charitable Trusts, Department of Justice, 33 Capitol Street, Concord, N.H. 03301.
