A new field of work in Lebanon

  • Patrick Harlan, a life-long soccer lover, started playing futsal earlier in the pandemic to stay active while he was working in a COVID-19 hospital unit in Alabama. When he decided to leave the health-care field, the game led him to finding a job with Urban Soccer Parks installing enclosed fields around the country. Harlan hangs chains in the back of a goal at the New England Sports Park, between the Carter Community Building Association and the Mascoma River in Lebanon, N.H., Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021. The two enclosed fields - one turf and one a multi-sport surface - are expected to be complete on Friday, Sept. 17, replacing an existing tennis court and basketball court at the site.
