NEW LONDON — Beginning Monday, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation will temporarily close the Interstate 89 northbound off-ramp at Exit 11 in New London.

The closure will last for five days, weather permitting, and will allow workers to remove, widen and replace existing pavement.

Drivers needing to use the northbound ramp will be re-routed at Exit 10 or to Exit 12.

The other ramps at the Exit 11 interchange also will be closed alternately for resurfacing in the next few weeks. The work will be performed on one ramp at a time.

Weaver Brothers Construction of Bow, N.H., is the prime contractor for the $15 million project, which is scheduled to be completed this fall.
