WINDSOR — In a close race to represent Windsor on the Mount Ascutney School District Board, Amy McMullen beat Kaitlyn Gould for a three-year seat, 252-234, in Tuesday’s ballot voting.

Meanwhile, Nancy J. Pedrick won an uncontested seat to represent West Windsor on the two-town board for a three-year term.

Voters from both towns also supported a $13.7 million operating budget for the school district. As approved, the budget is expected to result in education spending of $20,215 per equalized pupil, which is 16.5% higher than the spending for the current year.

They also approved establishing salaries for board members, including $1,250 per year for the chair and $1,000 per year for other members.
