NEWBURY, N.H. — Susan Donnelly began her tenure Monday as Mount Sunapee Resort’s general manager, replacing Peter Disch, who served in the position for four years.

Disch is now vice president of mountain operations at Heavenly Ski Resort in California. Vail Resorts, which operates Mount Sunapee and owns Heavenly, announced Donnelly’s appointment in a Sept. 30 news release.

Donnelly comes to Mount Sunapee from Vail-owned Crotched Mountain Resort in Bennington, N.H., where she served as general manager for the past three years. She began her career at Okemo Mountain in 2007, working in product sales and then restaurant management. She then shifted to overseeing product sales and scanning as senior manager in the Northeast.

Vail Resports acquired Okemo and Mount Sunapee in the fall of 2018 when it purchased Triple Peaks, L.L.C., in a sale that also included Crested Butte Mountain Resort.

A year later, Vail acquired Peak Resorts, which brought 17 additional U.S. ski areas, including Crotched Mountain, into Vail’s portfolio.
