Croydon, N.H. — Michelle L. (Pellerin) Hanke, 58, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017, surrounded by loved ones in her home after a long and courageous battle against cancer.

Born in New London, N.H., on Dec. 30, 1958, to Janet (Staley) Pellerin and the late Jules Pellerin, Michelle was a life-long and active resident of Croydon.

Michelle was employed most of her life as a medical secretary, working at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for twenty-eight years and Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital for three years. She enjoyed being with her children, traveling with her husband, Paul, and helping the town with various activities and events. Michelle played in the bell choir and sang in the choir at the Croydon Congregational Church. Michelle spent two years with Paul finishing the inside of their house. But most of all, Michelle loved to cook and entertain. You could always tell when she threw a party by the delicious smells wafting down Cash Street.

Michelle was predeceased by her father. Surviving family includes her mother, Janet Pellerin of Croydon; her husband of sixteen years, Paul Hanke of Croydon; her son, Marshall Huneven of Bunnell, Fla.; her daughter, Shelley Huneven of Alstead, N.H.; her brothers, Jules Andreas Pellerin of Pembroke, N.H., and Christopher Daniel Pellerin of Thetford, Vt.; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
