LEBANON — Massachusetts-based auto dealer McGee Motorcars has acquired the former Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram property on Route 120 in Lebanon and said it expects to open a new car dealership at the site.

McGee acquired the property for $6.5 million from longtime Upper Valley auto dealer Johanna Cicotte, according to Lebanon city records.

The 4.3-acre site and 22,900-square-foot building and auto service center recently became vacant after Key Auto relocated its Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership to the former Gateway Motors dealership on Sykes Mountain Avenue in White River Junction.

Farshad Pourmousa, chief operating officer of Hanover, Mass.-based McGee, in an interview with the Valley News said that McGee is in the final stages of negotiation with a car maker, which he declined to identify until an agreement is finalized.

“But obviously if we didn’t feel great about (reaching an agreement) we wouldn’t have bought the property,” he said.

McGee owns auto dealerships in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont — including Mazda and Toyota dealerships in Claremont and a Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership in Springfield, Vt. — and operated McGee Family Used Cars at the site of the former Hyundai dealership on Sykes Mountain Avenue in White River Junction, which it closed last February.
