Manchester Woman Killed in I-89 Accident in Hartford

Hartford — A 68-year-old Manchester woman was killed on Sunday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 89 in Hartford, according to Vermont State Police.

Josanne Hebert died in the accident, which totaled the Chevrolet station wagon driven by Norman Hebert, 67, also of Manchester, according to the State Police news release, which did not describe the relationship of the two individuals. Police and firefighters from Lebanon and Hartford were called to the accident just north of mile marker 3 shortly before 2 p.m. on Sunday, state police said.

Both occupants were taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where Josanne Hebert was pronounced dead. Road conditions at the time were icy, the release states, and the crash remains under investigation.
