Lebanon Police Investigating Crash That Killed Pedestrian

Lebanon — A man was killed after being struck by a car on Wednesday evening in Lebanon.

Lebanon police said in a Wednesday night news release that the single-vehicle crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Hanover Street Extension and Evans Drive. The vehicle, driven by a 39-year-old woman, was turning onto Evans Drive when it struck the male pedestrian, who was crossing the street in the crosswalk, according to the release.

The female driver was unharmed, but the man was taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where he later died of his injuries, police said. Identification of the victim is being withheld pending notification next of kin, and an autopsy will be scheduled and performed by the New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s Office in Concord.
