MONTPELIER — For the second time this week, a Woodstock High girls hockey player tallied her 100th career point.

On Monday, it was senior Isabel Konijnenberg in a win over Brattleboro; on Wednesday, Kassidy Haley reached the century mark as a sophomore in a 5-1 Wasps victory at U-32.

Haley scored two goals and added an assist, and Konijnenberg and juniors Maggie Mello and Gracelyn Laperle had a goal apiece. Konijnenberg and senior Lily Gubbins each recorded an assist, and junior goaltender Meridian Bremel made 15 saves.

Woodstock (13-3) hosts the St. Johnsbury-based Kingdom Blades on Saturday.

Lebanon-Stevens-Kearsarge 1, Berlin-Gorham-Kennett 0

BERLIN, N.H. — Senior Owen Robb scored the game's only goal late in the first period, and freshman goaltender Kristen Garzia made 29 saves, including 16 in the opening period, for the Raiders' shutout win over the Mountaineers.

"What a complete win by our whole team," LSK coach Mike Sheehan said. "We were a little wobbly before we scored, but then we did a great job of shutting the door from Kristen on out."

The Raiders (6-6) host St. Thomas next Tuesday.

Hartford 8, Middlebury 4

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — The Hurricanes picked up their third straight win on the strength of a 4-0 margin in the second period, defeating the Tigers. Each team scored twice in the first and third stanzas.

Sophomore Madison Barwood had two goals and two assists for Hartford, and fellow sophomore Emma Bazin had a hat trick and added an assist. The Canes' other goals came from sophomore Morgan Curtis, freshman Braelyn Park and eighth grader Grace Hayes, and senior Madelyn Durkee also had an assist.

Freshman Nella Bowen made 15 saves in the victory. Hartford (8-8) hosts Stowe on Saturday for its "Pink in the Rink" cancer awareness game.

BOYS HOCKEYHartford 8, Missisquoi Valley 2

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — The Hurricanes held a 3-0 lead after the first period and a 6-1 edge at second intermission as they won their fourth straight game.

Seniors Ozzie DeFelice and Joseph Barwood scored two goals each, with DeFelice becoming the 13th player in Hartford history to reach 100 career points. The Canes also got goals from seniors Connor Tierney and James McReynolds, sophomore Nick Daniels and junior Ezra Mock.

Senior Blaine Gour tallied three assists and Mock had two, with DeFelice, McReynolds, Tierney, sophomore Nolan Morlock and junior Matt Hayes each adding one. It would have been even more lopsided had Missisquoi goaltender Ethan Stefniak not made 48 saves.

Junior netminder Davey Bradley made nine saves for Hartford (12-3), which travels to Milton on Saturday.

Windham 5, Hanover 3

WEST LEBANON — The Bears led by a goal entering the third period, but the Jaguars scored three unanswered in the final stanza.

Seniors Jack Gardner and Jackson Watts and sophomore Ryder Wilson each scored for Hanover. Senior Julian Correa, juniors Trevor Lichtenstein, Mateo Trimble and sophomore Henry Cotter had an assist apiece, and freshman goaltender Jo Jo Drent made 20 saves.

"We played two great periods and were on the verge of a huge win against the state's No. 3 team, but with so much to gain with a solid final 15 minutes, we couldn't get it done," Bears coach Dick Dodds said. "We need to have confidence to win these types of games."

Hanover (7-8) is at Trinity on Saturday.

CONCORD — The Raiders fell to 1-12 and will host Kearsarge on Saturday.

BOYS BASKETBALLThetford 62, Lake Region 28

ORLEANS, Vt. — Senior guard Jacob Gilman scored 19 points, including five 3-pointers to lead the Panthers to a rout of the Rangers.

Junior forward Mitchell Parkman added 14 points and sophomore forward Boone Fahey chipped in with 12. Thetford (11-3) is at U-32 on Friday.

Bellows Falls 63, White River Valley 52

SOUTH ROYALTON — The Terriers scored the game's first 20 points and held a 40-15 lead at halftime, but the Wildcats battled back and cut their deficit to single digits down the stretch before running out of time.

Sophomore guard Brayden Russ led WRV with 18 points, and fellow sophomore Wyatt Cadwell added 12.

The Wildcats (10-6) host Green Mountain on Feb. 16. The Chieftains defeated WRV in the consolation game of the season-opening Stretch Gillam Kickoff Classic at Hartford on Dec. 10.

GIRLS BASKETBALLHartford 44, Woodstock 42

WOODSTOCK — The Hurricanes completed a season sweep of the rival Wasps in a back-and-forth affair, led by 19 points from freshman forward Charlotte Jasmin.

Jasmin scored 16 of her points in the second half, with 10 in the fourth quarter alone. Senior forward Avery Mosenthal added 12 points, 11 of them in the second half. Hartford put up just seven points in each of the first two quarters, then 15 in each of the last two.

Senior Norah Harper led Woodstock with 17 points and junior Georgia Tarleton chipped in with 10.

The Canes (10-7) host U-32 on Thursday, while the Wasps (3-13) are at Otter Valley on Saturday.

WRESTLINGLebanon wins home meet

LEBANON — The Raiders started the evening with a 46-30 win over Winnisquam, with senior captains Dustin Jarvis, Sawyer Beaulieu and Drew Sanchez all pinning their opponents. Junior Zach Thornton and freshmen Will Healy and Cole Ashline all won by pin as well.

Lebanon then defeated Mascoma, 36-24. Ashline, Jarvis and sophomore Aero Buzby all won by decision, and Sanchez, Beaulieu and junior Ben Nelson recorded pins.

The Royals also earned a 54-6 win over White Mountains, with junior Nate McGrody and sophomores Ethan Lewis and Hunter Zarr pinning their opponents. Senior Asa Michetti and junior Damian Nestle won by pin against the Raiders.

SKI JUMPINGHanover wins at Kennett

ALBANY, N.H. — The Bears’ Jai Gregory took first place individually with the two longest jumps of the night. Charlie Forbush, also of Hanover, finished second and Mascoma’s Benton Smith finished third.

Rounding out the Bears’ jumpers were Adam Goodney in sixth, Jhala Gregory 15th and Sofia Cosentino 24th. Hanover finished with 380 points, ahead of host Kennett’s 366.5.

SNOWBOARDINGHartford competes at Jay Peak

JAY, Vt. — Wren Parker finished second in the slopestyle and seventh in the rail jam on Wednesday. Greyson Renninger, a Mid Vermont Christian School student, was 10th in slopestyle, with Cavan O’Brien 19th and Ben Lang 22nd.
