WAITSFIELD, Vt. — Led by a whopping 10 assists from Addie Cadwell, the Hartford High girls lacrosse team continued its perfect season and extended its winning streak to 29, dating back to the beginning of the 2022 season, with a 16-3 victory at Green Mountain Valley.

Madison Barwood led the Hurricanes with four goals, and Cadwell and Audrey Rupp each had three. Alice Piper scored twice and Jillian Bushee and Nella Bowen both tallied once. Barwood also recorded two assists and Bella Boeri picked up one.

Hartford (13-0) is at Harwood on Tuesday.

Hanover 18, Keene 6

KEENE, N.H. — Emily Perras, Kali McDonnell and Maggie Higgins each racked up four goals for the victorious Bears. Maeve Lee added three goals, Mia Madden scored twice and Ashley Cotter tallied once.

Lee led Hanover with three assists, McDonnell and Eva Bell each had two and Higgins added one.

The Bears (10-1) lead the NHIAA Division II standings and host third-place Hollis-Brookline (11-3) on Friday.

BOYS LACROSSEAlvirne 14, Hanover 2

HUDSON, N.H. — Senior midfielder Jack Gardner scored both goals for the Bears in the loss to the Broncos. Sophomore Henry Cotter made 17 saves.

Hanover (4-7) travels to Hollis-Brookline on Friday.

Hartford 3, Spaulding 1

BARRE, Vt. — The Hurricanes, like their female counterparts, remained undefeated with the win over the Crimson Tide. Joseph Barwood scored twice and Brayden Trombly netted one goal as Hartford won a defensive battle. Logan Caffrey and Austin St. Peter each picked up an assist.

The Canes (12-0) host Milton on Saturday.

Plymouth 6, Lebanon 1

LEBANON — The Raiders fell to 4-7 and will remain home to face Trinity on Friday.

BASEBALLHartford 11, Fair Haven 1

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — The Hurricanes ran their winning streak to five with the rout of the Slaters.

Matt Hayes went five innings on the mound, striking out 10 and walking just one while allowing three hits and no earned runs. He dropped his ERA for the season to 0.25.

At the plate, Zach Johnson was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Trenton Bird added two hits. Hartford (9-2) is at Bellows Falls on Tuesday.

Mascoma 13, Newport 0

NEWPORT — The Royals claimed their second win over the Tigers in seven days.

Zach Thompson pitched 4 ⅔ innings, giving up two hits and one walk while striking out six. Mason Ballard, Jack St. Pierre, Thompson and Marshall Yorke each had two hits.

Mascoma (3-8) hosts Winnisquam on Thursday, while Newport (1-11) welcomes in Sunapee on Friday.

SOFTBALLHartford 8, Windsor 4

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — The Hurricanes scored five runs in the third inning to open up a 6-0 lead and defeat the Yellowjackets, completing a season sweep.

Logan Evans and Harper Robinson each had two hits for Hartford, and Becca Keelty and Madison Willey each scored twice.

Cassie Clark paced Windsor's offense with three hits and two RBIs. Molly Burke struck out 10 batters for the Yellowjackets and issued just two walks.

"It was a cold game in the wind tonight but the girls made it work," Hartford coach Danielle Tenney said. "I am really proud of them for sticking through challenges and still taking the win."

The Canes (9-2) visit Rutland on Friday, while Windsor (4-8) travels to Green Mountain on the same day.

Newport 14, Mascoma 2

NEWPORT — The Tigers remained perfect with another lopsided win. Newport (11-0) is at Hillsboro-Deering on Friday, while the Royals (0-11) host Winnisquam on Thursday.

BRISTOL, N.H. — The Cardinals (5-7) have won four straight since their 1-7 start. Stevens hosts Hopkinton on Thursday.

Plymouth 19, Hanover 12

NORWICH — The Bears put up a strong offensive showing, but fell to 1-12. Hanover hosts Milford on Friday.

LEBANON — The Raiders closed the regular season on a five-match winning streak.

Lebanon swept the singles matches, with victories coming from Aesha Soni (8-0 at No. 1), Adaa Karanwal (8-4 at No. 2), Hailey Schibuola (8-0 at No. 3), Sophie Longacre (8-0 at No. 4), Mari Utell (8-1 at No. 5) and Amalia Mladek (8-0 at No. 6). Anna Lu Haas and Bella Direnzo, in their varsity debuts, claimed an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles.

The Raiders finished 9-5 and will await their seed in the upcoming NHIAA Division III playoffs.

Rutland 4, Woodstock 3

RUTLAND, Vt. — The Wasps came up short and suffered their second loss of the season. Woodstock (6-2) hosts Burr & Burton on Monday.
