Highlights: Hanover won a defensive battle over the visiting Eagles on a night where there seemed to be a lid on the basket for both teams. Frechette and Lucas scored 11 apiece to lead the Bears. Hanover took a three-point lead into halftime and a four-point lead into the fourth quarter before opening the game up a bit. Hanover went 12-for-13 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to close it out.

Highlights: It was a scoreless first period with Hanover having the better scoring chances. Adirondack controlled play much of the second, outshooting Hanover 11-3. A turnover in the Bears’ defensive zone led to an Adirondack goal with 3.9 seconds remaining. The hosts scored again 14 seconds into the third and two shifts later added another when a centering pass from behind Hanover’s goal bounced off a defenseman’s leg into the goal. Julia Lawe got Hanover on the board with a breakaway goal with time left for a comeback, but the Bears couldn’t find a second goal.
Coach’s quote: “We played well today but couldn’t overcome a couple defensive breakdowns. Giving up the first goal with 3 seconds left in the second was tough, but the girls battled hard in the third. Lebanon finishes strong
at Waterville Valley Classic

Highlights: Nine Lebanon skiers placed in the top half of the field of 73 boys at the Waterville Valley Classic race hosted by Concord.

Eshbaugh, Mladek finish in top six
Highlights: Lebanon’s Mallory Eshbaugh cruised to second place and Sophia Mladek finished sixth in a field of 67 girls on the 3K course at Waterville Valley.
