Highlights: Pierce assisted on a Landon Ramirez goal off a corner with a fantastic technical header finish.

Exeter 3, Hanover 2

Key players: Exeter — Jude Keener, Will Manix; Hanover — Henry Cotter, Dino Gavetti, Gavin Munson, Sam Ames.

Highlights: Hanover had a back-and-forth battle with an unbeaten Exeter team, coming from behind to take a second-half lead before losing on two goals in the final 15 minutes, the deciding goal a penalty kick with less than nine minutes to play. Gavetti and Munson scored for the Bears, while Cotter produced a valiant display in between the sticks.

White River Valley 6, Sharon 2

Key players: White River Valley — Olivia Tuller and Ella LaFromboise were solid on our outside midfield for WRV. Katelyn Traegde had an assist. Rhianna Young and Kiera Malcher split the game in goal.

Highlights: White River Valley came out strong with a goal in the first five minutes from LaFromboise. Cassie Armstrong netted a brace for the Wildcats to go with goals from Sarah Rule, Imari Taylor and Mackenzie Vesper.

Coach’s quote: “At the start of the match, our assistant coach Omar Calhum-Flowers set the tone. The girls knew we had to take more shots, and with 26 shots, we were happy to get points on the board. The girls passed well together today, and it paid off.” — White River Valley’s Kim Prestridge

Lake Region 2, Oxbow 1

Highlights: Oxbow scored first on a direct kick taken by Natalee Spear. Lake Region scored to tie the game going into halftime. The Rangers added their second goal halfway through the second half, setting the final margin of victory. Caleigh Bean was in net for Oxbow and had 10 saves for the Olympians. Oxbow hosts Mill River on Wednesday.

Field Hockey

Hartford 6, U-32 1

Key players: Hartford — Madi Barwood, Paige Trombly, Charlotte Jasmin; U-32 — Hannah Drury

Highlights: Barwood scored five goals in the game, Jasmin had one to account for Hartford’s offense. U-32 goalie Hannah Drury had 34 saves to keep the score low.
