WOODSTOCK — The Hartford High boys soccer team defeated Woodstock, 3-0, at Woodstock Union High School on Wednesday behind goals from Tighe Hrabchak, Gabe Guillette and Sam Peckinpaugh. Hurricanes Owen Parker and Cavan O’Brien earned single assists.

Hartford coach Connor Brooks said Mason Chase’s save on Woodstock’s Ezra Lockhart shortly before halftime kept the visitors up, 1-0, going into the break. The Hurricanes received Guillette’s goal 10 minutes after intermission and its final tally not long after that. Parker Pierce made seven saves for the hosts.

Hartford (4-2-2) — owner of a three-match unbeaten streak — visits Brattleboro (4-1-1) on Saturday afternoon to cap a run of seven straight road contests. Woodstock (2-4-0), which has dropped three of its last four starts, hosts Fair Haven (4-2-0) on Saturday morning.

DORSET, Vt. — Luke Miller scored off a Daniel Piasecki through ball to lift the Phoenix to 1-7-0.

Coach Grayson Levy noted the defensive efforts of Ira Ferro and Ellis Bogardus. Sharon visits Proctor on Monday.

Randolph 2, Rivendell 0

RANDOLPH — The hosts scored twice before halftime, dropping the Raptors to 3-3-1 despite a strong performance by goalkeeper Carter Bacon.

Rivendell visits Springfield (0-3-1) on Friday.

GIRLS SOCCER White River Valley 2Green Mountain 1

CHESTER, Vt. — Amara Calhum-Flowers scored twice and Mackenzie Vesper and Cassie Armstrong earned assists to lift the Wildcats to 4-2-0.

WRV visits Springfield (2-4-0) on Saturday.

Mascoma 2White Mountains 1

WEST CANAAN — Emily Seiler scored twice and Grace Clifford earned an assist as the Royals improved to 6-4-0 while dropping White Mountains to 1-8-1.

Natalee Pettersen made 12 saves for Mascoma, which visits Raymond (4-4-0) on Saturday.

BFA-Fairfax 1, Oxbow 0

BRADFORD, Vt. — The Olympians dropped to 3-5-0 despite Caleigh Bean’s 14 saves and host Enosburg (2-4) on Tuesday.

West Rutland 1, Sharon 0

WEST RUTLAND, Vt. — The Golden Horde (6-1-0) used a corner kick with 15 minutes to play to down the Phoenix (1-6-0).

Natalie Young played well in the midfield and Abby Chase made three saves for Sharon, which visits Green Mountain (2-5-1) on Friday to wrap up a three-game road trip.

Harwood 11, Thetford 0

THETFORD — An early injury to starting goalkeeper Heidi Hewes and the necessity to replace her with center back Ashlyn Osgood led to a tough day for the Panthers (2-5-0) against the Highlanders (3-3-1).

A later injury to Osgood resulting in a trip to the hospital meant striker Kelsey Bogie, who last tended net during third grade, pulled on the gloves.

“I’m proud of my kids for their effort under tough circumstances,” said coach Patrick Perry. “Ashlyn’s injury is hopefully just a sprain, and she was in good spirits when I saw her later.”

Thetford visits Montpelier (2-3-1) on Saturday.

FIELD HOCKEY Newport 3, St. Thomas 1

NEWPORT — Jasmyn McNamara, Jasmyne Lee and Peyton Blackington scored for the Tigers in a win over the Saints.

Newport (7-1-0) retains second place in NHIAA Division III and hosts Franklin (2-5-0) on Friday.

GOLF Stevens 69, Lebanon 61, ConVal 38

CLAREMONT — Stevens’ Owen Wilkinson shot a 39, followed by Aubree Herzog with a 42, to lead Wednesday’s sweep at Claremont Country Club.

Ian Gersberg produced a 46 and Justin Demars a 50 for the Cardinals. Stevens is 12-7 and visits Derryfield (12-3) on Monday.

Lebanon’s scorers included Ben Britton (40), Lodi Scholtz (46), Ben Benes (48) and Brett Thorpe (49). The Raiders are 10-11 and visit Plymouth (5-9) on Monday.

Londonderry 198, Bedford 205, Hanover 211

LITCHFIELD, N.H. — The Bears received a 39 from Adam Goondey, who was followed by Andrew Cahoon (41), Nick Reiss (42), Andrew Cramer (44) and Trevor Lichtenstein (45), but Hanover ended up trailing both opponents at Passaconaway Country Club.

Hanover (13-6) visits Nashua South on Friday.
