BRATTLEBORO, Vt. — The Woodstock High girls soccer team defeated Brattleboro, 3-2, in overtime on Monday, when Hannah Watson’s free kick went to Chloe Massilo for the game-winning goal 30 seconds into the extra session.

Woodstock (7-3-0) pulled into a 1-1 tie during the first half on a Leah Kuhnert goal. The Wasps went up, 2-1, with 25 minutes remaining in the second half on Sky Collie’s third goal in two games. The Bears (5-4-1) made the score 2-2 with seven minutes remaining in the half when they tallied out of a scramble in front of goalkeeper Jane Stout.

Woodstock coach Gregg LaBella said he moved Masillo up to striker and Watson to center midfielder, which paid off in the winning goal.

The Wasps visit Randolph (3-6-1) on Wednesday.

Oxbow 1, Winooski 1

BRADFORD, Vt. — The Olympians’ Mackenzie Pearl scored and Ainsley Smith had the assist in a draw with the Spartans (1-6-2).

Caleigh Bean made six saves for Oxbow (4-5-2), which visits Blue Mountain (2-7-2) on Wednesday.

ConVal 3, Lebanon 2 (2OT)

PETERBOROUGH, N.H. — The Raiders squandered a 2-0 halftime lead, surrendering two tallies during a 10-minute stretch and the winning goal with three minutes remaining in the second overtime.

Sydney DeShane scored off a Brooke Walker assist and Walker converted a penalty kick for the Raiders, who fell to 6-6-1 as the Cougars improved to 5-4-3. Lebanon hosts John Stark (9-2-1) on Friday.

BOYS SOCCERRivendell 8, Bellows Falls 1

WESTMINSTER, Vt. — Will Knowles, Jacoby Patterson and Gabe Wright-Swaine each had two goals, with Luke Avery and Logan Harris finishing off the scoring for the Raptors in their one-sided victory.

Bellows Falls fell to 0-9-0, and Rivendell improved to 6-4-1.

Rivendell visits Woodstock (5-5-0) on Saturday night.

FIELD HOCKEYHartford 4, U-32 0

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — Kamryn Brower scored twice, each time assisted by Madison Wiley and Madison Barwood, and Charlotte Jasmin also tallied as the Hurricanes remained atop VPA Division II.

Jasmin and Paige Trombly had assists for the Hurricanes, who improved to 9-2-0 and dropped the Raiders to 7-2-1. Hartford, which received five saves from Paige Vielleux, hosts Burr & Burton (7-1) on Saturday.

FOOTBALLFranklin 7, Mascoma 6

FRANKLIN, N.H. — In a game delayed by poor field conditions, the Royals went for a two-point conversion to win the game with seconds remaining but were denied.

Mascoma coach John Daley credited his defense with several critical stops and said Gareth Brown, a receiver and cornerback, was outstanding. However, the Royals’ offensive line struggled.

Mascoma (1-4) visits Winnisquam (1-4) on Saturday.
