Britton leads Lebanon
to second place

Key players: Lebanon — Ben Britton.

Highlights: Britton shot a 1-over-par 37 to earn medalist honors, earning 26 points for Lebanon. Lebanon was 2-1 for the day, losing to Pelham who scored 80 points. Lebanon had 72. Kearsarge was third and Campbell fourth.

Key players: Hartford — Rowan Dumont, Nicola Hussman, Wren Parker.

Highlights: The game was back and forth through 80 minutes of regulation and 20 minutes of overtime. Parker backstopped a total team defensive effort for her second shutout of the year. Hussman at center mid and Dumont at center back deserve recognition for going the entire 100 minutes without a sub. Hartford had several near-misses toward the end of regulation and in overtime but couldn’t find the magic.

Key players: Rivendell — Lily Murray, Lyza Taylor.

Highlights: Hat tricks by sophomores Murray and Taylor.

Records: Rivendell 3-0; Randolph 0-4-1

Missisquoi 2, Oxbow 1 (OT)

Highlights: Oxbow scored first off a corner kick taken by Natalee Spear. Spear sent the ball into to upper corner straight from the corner kick. Oxbow went into halftime with the 1-0 lead. Missisquoi scored to tie the game in the second. The game remained tied and went into overtime. Missisquoi scored in the OT to win 2-1. Caleigh Bean was in net for the Olympians and had 6 saves while Missisquoi keeper Liza Bourdeau had 10 saves.

Records: Missisquoi 1-3; Oxbow 2-2-1

Boys Soccer

Rivendell 3, Sharon 1

Key players: Rivendell — Javen Welch, Will Knowles.

Highlights: Two goals by sophomore Javen Welch.

Records: Rivendell 2-2; Sharon 1-2-1

Cross Country

Hanover wins three-team meet

NORWICH — Hanover’s Lea Perreard and Andrew Valentino finished first in their 5K cross country races at a three-team meet that included Oxbow and Lebanon.

Perreard won the girls race at the Dresden Athletic Fields in 19:39, and Valentino’s winning time in the boys race was 16:47.

The Bears took the first 14 places in the race with Ryan Faris, Nandeesh Jain, Ben Groves and Ben Hourdequin coming in second through fifth.

Oxbow freshman Jake Danis was 15th (19:35) in the field of 39 and in the girls race, Olympian Casey Wiedrick was 11th among 40 runners.

“Casey and Jake continue to be the top runners for Oxbow, both finishing well and posting strong times,” Oxbow coach Katherine Chobanian said.

For the Lebanon girls, Annelies Hanna finished seventh and teammates Sophis Mladek and Sarah Smith were 19th and 22nd, respectively. Also for Hanover, Megan Faris, Aria Deeb, Millie Larrick, Alice Bell and Ari Hirschler finished second through sixth.
