Lebanon man charged with possession of child sex abuse images

LEBANON — A 67-year-old Lebanon man has been charged with possessing child pornography, police announced on Tuesday.

Michael Collins was arrested and charged with six counts of possessing child sexual abuse images, all class A felonies, at his Lebanon home on Tuesday, Lebanon police said in a news release.

An investigation by Lebanon police's cyber crimes unit into a subject suspected of possessing child sexual abuse images was opened on April 5 and a search warrant of the subject’s residence was executed on April 25, according to police.

At the residence, members of the cyber crimes unit discovered an electronic device which contained child sexual abuse images, police said, at which time an occupant of the residence, identified as Collins, was arrested and charged, police said.

Collins was held in preventive detention pending his arraignment in Grafton County Superior Court, police said.
