LEBANON — A 25-year-old Lebanon man is facing a felony charge after police say he accidentally shot his girlfriend in the leg earlier this month.

Police on Dec. 12 were called to a home on West Street and found a woman with a gunshot wound to her leg, according to a news release on Tuesday from Lebanon police.

She was taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, the release said, and police said an investigation determined that she was accidentally shot by her boyfriend, Thomas Dumphy.

Dumphy was arrested on Monday and charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, a class B felony, and later released on personal recognizance bail pending a Jan. 6 court date in Grafton Superior Court, the release said.
