LEBANON — The director of the land use department in North Stonington, Conn., will be Lebanon’s new director of planning and development starting next month, according to a Lebanon news release.
Nathan K. Reichert will take the helm of Lebanon’s planning and development office beginning Oct. 3. The role is currently being filled on an interim basis by Tim Corwin, a senior planner and zoning administrator, according to the city’s website.
Reichert’s “knowledge and experience will serve the city well, and I look forward to working with him as we move Lebanon toward a sustainable future,” Lebanon City Manager Shaun Mulholland said in the release.
In North Stonington, Reichert provides staff support to the Planning & Zoning Commission and Economic Development Commission, among other boards and committees. He develops and manages the department budget and serves as a member of a town leadership team.
Before his work in Connecticut, Reichert served as the zoning official for the town of Westerly, R.I. He has served as an adjunct economics instructor for Muscatine (Iowa) Community College since 2008 and was a state representative to the Iowa General Assembly from 2005 through 2011.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Henry B. Tippie School of Management at the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado.
