LEBANON — The city has changed the location of two upcoming budget meetings to the Lebanon High School gym in response to feedback requesting a larger venue for in-person participation, according to a Monday news release.
The meetings, scheduled for this Thursday at 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m., were previously scheduled to take place at City Hall.
The move means that there will not be remote access for the meetings. The only way to view or offer input at the meetings will be by attending in person.
The City Council is mulling a proposed $93.9 million budget expected to result in an 11.9% tax rate increase for 2025. Residents spoke out against the increase in taxes and against some proposed cuts aimed at decreasing the tax rate at a meeting last Wednesday.
The City Council is scheduled to approve a budget at the Dec. 18 meeting.
Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to ensure seating and the opportunity to provide feedback.
Those unable to attend the budget meetings in person are invited to share feedback with city officials via an online form: tinyurl.com/5bnbpyr7.
