Saturday, August 11, 2018

A Lebanon man has been charged with 10 felony-level counts of possession of child pornography, following a tip from the FBI.

The Lebanon Police Department Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Hanover Street in Lebanon on Thursday, according to a police news release.

After seizing electronic devices, officers found videos of child pornography belonging to John Laybourne, 56. Some of the videos involved children under the age of 5.

Laybourne, who lives on Hanover Street, is a registered sex offender.

Following his arrest on Thursday, he declined services of a bail commissioner and went to Grafton County jail. He entered a plea of not-guilty at his arraignment on Friday afternoon, according to a court clerk. Bail is set at $50,000.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected, the release said.
