LEBANON — The Lebanon School District is asking community members to complete an online survey to assist the district’s search committee in its review of candidates for superintendent.
The survey, launched this week by the SAU 88 Superintendent Search Committee, is aimed at gathering input from school community members and city residents in the skills and traits that an ideal superintendent should have, as well as important issues in the school district.
The survey has five questions in total, with a mixed format of short-answer and multiple-selection questions. According to the committee, it “should only take a few minutes to complete.”
All members of the Lebanon school community, including students, parents, faculty and staff and residents, are encouraged to take the survey, which may be found on the district website at sau88.net and will remain open until Monday at 5 p.m.
The search committee — composed primarily of Lebanon educators and school administrators, as well as parent and student representatives — is currently working in conjunction with the Bryan Group, a superintendent recruitment firm, to search for a successor to outgoing Superintendent Joanne Roberts, who is leaving the district at the end of the 2022-2023 school year. In a press release earlier this year, the committee said it hopes to begin advertising the position by the end of December and to select candidates to be interviewed by the third week of February.
The search committee also hosted an in-person forum on Monday at Lebanon Middle School to gather community feedback about preferred qualifications for a superintendent.
