LEBANON — The Lebanon School Board is seeking a community member to join a superintendent search committee, according to a message to families from the superintendent’s office.

The role will involve as much as 40 hours of work between October and the end of February. The work will include orientation and training sessions with the search firm, collaboration on preferred profiles for prospective applicants, evaluation of applications and related discussions prior to bringing final candidates to the board.

The committee is seeking to find a replacement for Superintendent Joanne Roberts, who announced in May that she will be leaving at the end of this school year.

The board encourages applications from parents or caregivers of current Lebanon students. Prior experience with school administration is not necessary.

Those interested in serving on the committee are asked to email a letter of interest, including a brief statement of why they are volunteering, to search@sau88.net. Applications are due on Monday.
