Brandon Geer, of Claremont Public Works, cleans graffiti from the abutment of the Santagate pedestrian bridge at the Visitor Center Green in Claremont, N.H., on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024. Claremont Police Chief Brent Wilmot said that the spray-painted messages "contained derogatory terms, but didn't appear to be targeted towards any protected classes."
