Brookfield, Vt. — Jesse J. Kampen, 22, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at his home in Brookfield.

He was born Jan. 4, 1995, in Norwood, Mass., the son of Neil and Carol (Treeful) Kampen.

Jesse attended schools in Norwood and the Blue Hill Regional Technical School before moving to New Hampshire where he attended Mascoma Regional High School in Canaan, N.H. graduating in 2013. Following his schooling, Jesse worked as a chef in a couple of restaurants. He later had worked as a “Handyman” and landscaper in the Brookfield area. He enjoyed fishing, snowboarding and motorsports.

He is survived by his father, Neil Kampen and partner, Tina Vasquezi of Grafton, N.H.; his aunt, Robin Kampen of Norwood, Mass. who raised Jesse from a young age; a sister, Heather Hubbard of Mass.; a brother, Christopher Morgan of Mont.; his grandfather, Anthony Allen of Norwood; aunts: Cheryl and Joe Iovanni of Gaysville, Margie Verrochi of N. Attleboro, Mass. and Julie Lyon of Brookfield; uncles: Kevin and Sue Kampen of Middletown, Conn. and Erik Allen of Attleboro, Mass.; and several close cousins. He was predeceased by his grandmother Jane Allen
