Lebanon, N.H. — LTC James R. Perry, 84, peacefully passed away at his home on Monday April 16, 2017. Born in Jefferson, N.H. Jim graduated from Lancaster Academy where he played on their championship basketball team. He took ROTC and received his BA from the University of N.H. where he was president of the student body and the president of his fraternity. He then earned his MBA from George Washington University. Jim proudly served 23 years in the Army with two tours during the Vietnam War. While stationed in Alaska Jim became a 20th century homesteader when he cross country skied across Lake Louise and staked a claim to build a log cabin. Retiring in Indiana he was the CEO of Harrison Computer Services and later a sales associate for Data Flow and Data Matrix. While living in Indiana he was president of his neighborhood homeowners association, a precinct committee chairman, served on the Ft. Benjamin Harrison Reuse committee and was a big fan of Toastmasters.  Jim returned to his roots in New Hampshire in 1995.  He enjoyed living in Lebanon where he served as the president of the zoning board for several years.  Jim enjoyed volunteering at the Lebanon Outing Club alongside John Emery where they planned and orchestrated the building of the new lodge. He was happiest sharing his passion for hiking and skiing with those he loved.

His greatest love was for his wife, children and grandchildren. Jim leaves his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara; sons, Frank (Suzanne), Bruce (Carole); grandchildren, Scott (Melissa), Bradley and Jenna; great-grandson, Valen; and several nieces and nephews.
