HARTFORD — A 33-year-old woman who is considered armed and dangerous is at large and being sought by police following an alleged assault, robbery and attempted abduction of another adult female at a motel in White River Junction on Friday morning, Hartford police said in a news release.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect but people should not approach her because she is believed to carrying a handgun, said Detective Eric Clifford of the Hartford Police Department. The female suspect left the scene in a 2018 Nissan Rogue with New Hampshire plate number 4955759 driven by an unknown male, who is in possession of two knives, Clifford said.

Police did not immediately provide identities of the alleged suspect and victim.

Clifford said the suspect is believed to a resident “of the Upper Valley.”

The incident occurred at the South on Five motel on Route 5 and the victim, a 31-year-old female, declined medical assistance and is “now in a safe place,” reported Detective Eric Clifford of the Hartford Police Department.
