Vermont heat pump installer training to be held in April

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — Vermont Adult Learning is hosting a free, two-week heat pump installation training in April.

The training, which is set to run from April 10-19, includes transportation to and from training centers, childcare stipends, and participants can earn up to $1,000 over the course of the training. 

The program, Energy Works, is a statewide program that trains Vermonters for careers in the green energy sector, which is “experiencing an unprecedented demand for skilled, entry-level professionals, often starting at over $20 dollars an hour with benefits,” according to the Energy Works website. “Because of the demand in these industries, career advancement is readily available.”

No experience is necessary to participate in the training, which will be based out of the Vermont Adult Learning location on Maple Street.
