Town Meeting preview: Community nurse position up for vote in Grantham

Article of note: One article asks whether voters will support contracting with the Lebanon Fire Department for a part-time community nurse at a cost of $45,000.

Contested races: There are two people running for a three-year term on the Selectboard: Erin Zagadailov and G. Warren Kimball.

Budgets and spending articles: The proposed school budget is $10.79 million, which is up from the $10.2 million budget voters approved last year. Proposed municipal spending totals $4.7 million, up from $4.2 million last year, of which $4.4 million is slated to come from taxes. 

When, where and how to vote: The Grantham School District is slated to hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Grantham Village School gymnasium, 75 Learning Drive. The town is scheduled to hold its Town Meeting on March 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the Grantham Town Hall, lower level, 300 Route 10 South.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Grantham has postponed its Town Meeting to March 28 at the Grantham Town Building, 300 Route 10 South, according to its website. The polls will open from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. for the election of town officers. The business portion of the meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.
