Grantham — Voters went to the polls to elect town officers, but the main business of the day was postponed by Tuesday’s snowstorm.

“After further deliberation, Grantham election officials have decided that the deliberative portion of our Annual Town Meeting will be postponed until March 27, 2018, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Grantham Town Hall,” Town Administrator Melissa White said via email and on a post to the town website Tuesday afternoon. Voters will be expected to consider the proposed $4.1 million municipal budget at that meeting.

Peter Garland beat out Shawn Hayward and incumbent Andy Gelston for a three-year seat on the Selectboard. Garland got 145 votes to 108 for Hayward and 22 for Gelston.

Patricia Beasley and Megan Alexander edged out three other candidates for two-year trustee seats on the Dunbar Free Library with 118 and 111 votes, respectively. Carl Lloyd got 106 votes, Mark Kendall got 103, and Max Bryant 30. The one-year library trustee spot was taken by Carolyn Simon with 142 votes, enough to beat Jennifer Buckey’s 92 and Theresa Bryant’s 33.

Jodie Poljacik and Leslie Nesbitt got 201 and 126 votes, respectively, enough to win two-year School Board slots over Nicholas Sylvain, Tanya McIntire and Timber Holmes.
