CONCORD — An Enfield man has been sentenced to six years in federal prison after pleading guilty last year to his role in a methamphetamine distribution ring that involved four other Upper Valley residents, the New Hampshire federal prosecutor’s office said in a news release.

Gary Sewell, 41, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in New Hampshire in May to conspiracy to distribute and possess methamphetamine and on Tuesday was sentenced to 72 months in prison by Chief Judge Landya McCafferty, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Hampshire and court records.

Sewell and the other co-defendants participated in an enterprise that shipped two packages containing a total of 1,001 grams, or 35.3 ounces, of methamphetamine from Arizona to New Hampshire in 2019, the government charged.

Earlier, co-defendant Andrew Hutchins, of Lebanon, pleaded guilty on May 5, 2022, and was sentenced last August to time served and placed on supervised release for three years, court documents show.

Other co-defendants who have pleaded guilty in the case and are scheduled to be sentenced later this month include Heather Dubeau, of Enfield; Eli Margolis, of Grantham; Chad Rombow, of Grafton; and Dylan Miles, of Laconia, N.H., according to the N.H. U.S. Attorney’s Office.
