Annual meeting preview: Pre-Kindergarten instruction before voters in the First Branch Unified School District

Article of note: Chelsea and Tunbridge voters will be asked whether to approve the provision of pre-Kindergarten instruction to resident students at the district’s schools.

Contested races: The election of officers will be from the floor.

Budgets and spending articles: Voters will be asked whether they support a budget of $7.66 million. If approved, the budget would result in education spending of $19,219 per equalize pupil, which is 3.69% higher than spending for the current year.

When, where and how to vote: The First Branch Unified School District is slated to hold its annual meeting on March 6 at 7 p.m. at the Chelsea campus.
