Article of note: Included in the budget are requested appropriations from 23 social service organizations. 

Contested races: Town officers, including a Selectboard member for a three-year term, will be elected from the floor during Town Meeting. 

Budgets and spending articles: Voters will be asked to approve a general fund budget of $1.26 million, with $942,000 to come from taxes, according to the annual report. That is up from the $1.16 million budget approved last year, according to previous reporting. They also will be asked to support a highway budget of $301,000, with $237,000 to come from taxes, as well as raising $275,000 from taxes to support capital expenses. The total to be raised by taxes $1.45 million is up from $1.34 million last year.

When, where and how to vote: Fairlee is scheduled to hold its Town Meeting on March 7 at 10 a.m. in the auditorium of the Fairlee Town Hall, 75 Town Common Road.
