Hanover — Departing Dartmouth College men’s basketball forward Evan Boudreaux has found a new home, announcing in a published report that he’ll be playing at Cincinnati’s Xavier University next season.
Boudreaux confirmed his transfer to the Cincinnati Enquirer on Monday. Boudreaux, the Ivy League’s rookie of the year as a freshman and an all-league second-teamer last year, announced on the eve of the Big Green’s campaign last month that he’d be graduating early and using his final two seasons of undergraduate eligibility elsewhere.
The Enquirer indicated Boudreaux will graduate this spring and will be on the Xavier campus all summer.
The 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward from Lake Forest, Ill., ranked second in Ivy scoring at 17.7 points per game as a freshman. He topped the Ivies in rebounding (9.5 per game) and finished second in scoring again (17.5) last season.
The Musketeers (9-1) were ranked 10th in this week’s AP poll heading into a Saturday home game with East Tennessee State.
