White River Junction — Rebecca Elizabeth White and Dylan McKinstry Kreis have announced their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ramona Maria Obrien White and Jonathan Andrew White, of Hartford. She graduated from Hartford High School in 2011 and earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Vermont in 2015. She is employed as a solar community organizer at SunCommon in Waterbury, Vt., and has been a member of the Hartford Selectboard since 2015.
The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Elizabeth Jane McKinstry and Jonathan Snow Streeter, of Norwich, and James Herbert Kreis, of Perkinsville. He graduated from The Putney School in Putney, Vt., in 1998 and earned a bachelor’s degree in forestry and environmental management from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, in 2006. He earned a master’s degree in sustainable development from S.I.T. Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vt., and is employed as the superintendent of parks and facilities for the town of Hartford.
The couple both grew up in Wilder and live in White River Junction.
They plan an April wedding in Washington, D.C.
