NORWICH — ECFiber subscribers in several Vermont towns may see their service interrupted Thursday night as the company does a facility upgrade, according to a news release from the telecommunications provider.

The upgrade will start at 10 p.m. Thursday and may continue as late as 5 a.m. Friday. During that time, phone and internet services for most subscribers in the area will stop working, according to the release. That includes residents in Barnard, Norwich, Pomfret, Reading, Sharon, West Windsor, Woodstock, Granville, Hancock, Rochester and Stockbridge.
