NEWPORT — A 20-year-old Newport man pleaded guilty earlier this week to being an accomplice to criminal mischief stemming from shooting incidents in Claremont in December.

Brandon Teeter allegedly drove his pickup truck around the city on Dec. 30 with brothers Matthew and Tyler Barry, with Matthew Barry firing shots from the truck’s window. Both of the Barry brothers fired guns throughout the city that night and have since pleaded guilty to their roles and been sentenced.

Teeter pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor accomplice charge on Monday, Sullivan County Attorney Marc Hathaway said.

He received a 12-month sentence, all suspended, for three years. He will remain on probation for two years, Hathaway said.
