Town Meeting: $26.8 million budget sails through Dresden School District voting

HANOVER — Voters in Hanover and Norwich handily approved a $26.8 million budget for the Dresden School District in Australian ballot voting on Tuesday on a 1,097-295 vote.

The Hanover school budget of $14.5 million also passed, 393-75.

And on a 1,033-380 tally, voters approved spending $900,000 on the design, construction and repair of a drainage system that runs underneath the Hanover High turf field.

New contracts for teachers and support staff were also easily approved.

Benjamin Keeney and Jonathan Hunt, who were unopposed, won seats on the Hanover and Dresden School Boards.
